RYA Yachtmaster Coastal & RYA Yachtmaster Offshore

The RYA Yachtmaster Coastal and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificates of Competence are gained by examinations conducted by Yachtmaster Examiners who are independent of Allabroad Sailing Academy. Attending a period of practical training prior to an exam is a requirement for overseas examinations and also good practice to ensure you have the opportunity to become familiar with the yacht, your crew and the examination cruising area. The cruising area here is perfect for exams with excellent pilotage opportunities and reliable winds and warmer weather helps.

It is essential that you satisfy all pre-requisites of mileage, experience and courses prior to booking this preparation and exam event. During the preparation week there is opportunity to brush up on some of the areas that may be covered during your exam, however it is not designed to be teaching you skills for the first time. It's about polishing up your performance. You should read the full details of the exam requirements and you can also read the entire scheme syllabus in the G158 log book. We run this event as an intensive 4 days preparing you for your final independent assessment by a RYA Yachtmaster Examiner or you may choose to extend the experience and join the week prior for an additional 5 days of preparation for maximum benefit. This option gives you free time over the middle weekend for revision of instructor highlighted areas.
