The RYA Advanced Powerboat course covers boat handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigation up to the standards required to drive a planing powerboat safely by day and night. The course is delivered in tidal coastal waters, in more demanding conditions than the level 2 or intermediate courses. RYA Advanced Powerboat courses are delivered on our inboard diesel RHIB in the Bay of Gibraltar.
The standalone advanced powerboat course requires your theory to be at yachtmaster level, and boat handling to be at intermediate powerboat level. We can however proved a number of packages to include everything you need to achieve your advanced powerboat qualification. Please also note that there is a higher level than advanced that requires an independent RYA exam, upon successful completion of which leads to the Advanced Powerboat COC. For those who need the Certificate of Competence we can arrange the independent exam, and exam preparation training.

- The standard 2 day Intermediate Powerboat training course.
- The standard 2 day Advanced Practical powerboat training course.

Option 3: Novice to Advanced Package (14 days)
Includes:
- The standard 2 day Intermediate Powerboat training course.
- The standard 2 day Advanced Practical powerboat training course.
- RYA Yachtmaster Theory course 10 days

Option 4: Fast Track to Advanced Powerboat (16 days)
- The standard 2 day RYA Powerboat level 1 and 2 course
